Sheet metal is a thin, flat piece of metal. There are as many types of sheet metal as there are types of metal. If an alloy can be stretched out into a sheet, it becomes sheet metal. SolidWorks 3D allows you to quickly create sheet metal part designs using a simple design process. This course helps you to understand how to use sheet metal features of SolidWorks to produce a vast range of sheet metal part designs. It lays special emphasis on teaching you how to fold or unfold Sheet Metal parts to cylindrical faces such as flange, bend and surfaces.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to use SolidWorks 3D to design sheet metal parts and assemblies, and create sheet metal models. Key topics covered include:
