Course Fees: Free
Session : 2
Duration : 00:05:37
Level : Essential
Subject : 3D Visualization
Course Overview:

An assembly is a component that contains inserts of other components. Assembling is the process of putting a large number of single parts together to make a machine or any other product. Assembly modeling in CAD is about using components to virtually group geometric entities in hierarchies. This course teaches you how to use CATIA to conceptualize top-down design assembly where the design intent comes from the top (the assembly) and moves down (into the parts).

Learning Outcome:

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to model top-down assembly with inserted components using CATIA. Key topics covered include:

  • Introduction to top-down assembly
  • Applications of top-down assembly tools in CATIA
  • Process top-down assembly creation

Eligibility Criteria:

  •  Mechanical engineering students/professionals
  • Product design engineers
