Course Overview:

Point cloud is a set of data points of a product. It is captured by 3D scanners for the purpose of recreating the product in digital formats - a process known as reverse engineering. Parametric modeling is a CAD approach that automatically changes the shape of a model’s geometry when the model’s dimensions are changed. This course teaches how to use CATIA V5 to create point cloud to 3D parametric CAD models. 

 

Learning Outcome:

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to use CATIA’s automatic surface tool function and convert the point cloud to parametric CAD models. Key topics covered include:
