Course Overview:

Additive Manufacturing - also known as 3D printing - constitutes the next big wave in manufacturing. It is about manufacturing by depositing materials (plastics, powders, filaments or paper) in layers. There is virtually no domain where Additive Manufacturing does not make sense. This course gives a solid understanding of this manufacturing process, the history of its development, different approaches and techniques (such as Fused Deposition Modeling, Stereolithography, and Digital Light Processing) involved, and its application in select industries - besides the present scenario of the adoption of Additive Manufacturing in India.
